Purpose of the position Reporting to general managers, the property manager is involved in every issue related to the management of real estate complexes in Montreal and on the South Shore, mainly issues concerning security, parking, cleaning and maintenance, special events and service calls.
Responsabilities and activities
  • Conduct regular quality control for services provided by employees and service suppliers in the sectors listed above;
  • Answer service calls and follow-up on requests and complaints from tenants by making sure the work is executed properly and the problem is solved in a satisfactory manner;
  • Contribute to the practice of giving an excellent customer service to tenants, by assisting the parties involved if necessary (maintenance and repairs, service suppliers, etc.);
  • Collaborate and attend special events on site;
  • Insure good functioning at all times of security equipment, access and ventilation software, cameras, access cards, etc.;
  • Update emergency measures and make sure that responsible teams for emergency measures are aware of these updates;
  • In collaboration with the general managers, keep the keys and access cards registers up to date; upon request, activate or deactivate parking access cards and give print outs to the tenants if necessary;
  • Keep track of service contracts expiry dates and notify the person in charge at the end of a contract;
  • Carry out several projects related to building maintenance;
  • Write memos to notify tenants about upcoming work in the building, days off or other possible message of interest;
  • Cooperate in the building’s operating budget;
  • Maintain an emergency service 24h/24;
  • Execute any other task related to property management.

Required qualifications
  • Knowledge in building systems technology (an asset);
  • Desire to offer an outstanding customer service;
  • Ability to establish strong connections with tenants, suppliers and other departments in the company;
  • Dynamism, politeness, ability to speak clearly, good structure and sense of organization, self-reliance, resourcefulness and attention to details;
  • Capacity to work under pressure and commit to a variable work schedule (week and weekends);
  • Bilingualism;
  • Able to work with numbers and computer software;
  • Experience of 5 years minimum;
  • Excellent skills in analyzing and managing priorities.
