–GROUPE DEVIMCO SUPPORTS THE
TEL-JEUNES FOUNDATION
Since 2019, thanks to the famous Lobster Lunch, Canada’s largest business lunch, Groupe Devimco has helped raise close to $1 million to provide the teenagers of today and tomorrow with 24/7 access to the free and confidential services of Tel-jeunes. In 2022, under the honorary presidency of Groupe Devimco’s CEO Laurent Messier and President James Goulet, a record 743 tickets were sold.
–SUPPORTING LONGUEUIL’S CULTURE THROUGH THE THÉÂTRE DE LA VILLE
In 2022, as part of the fundraiser organized by the Théâtre de la Ville, Groupe Devimco was involved as a member of the honorary committee and made a donation of $103,441, which will contribute to enrich and promote the cultural offerings for young people.
–Groupe Devimco’s involvement with the Jewish General Hospital Foundation
The COVID-19 global pandemic has dramatically changed current priorities and has raised awareness that infectious diseases can cause tremendous harm to both individuals and to our society. We are now faced with an urgent need to invest massively in research.
Groupe Devimco has chosen to officially support the Jewish General Hospital Foundation by working to find donors who will make it possible to create a new research centre specifically dedicated to infectious diseases. The hospital hopes to raise $7.5 million to make this happen. All funds raised will be administered by the Jewish General Hospital Foundation team and will be dedicated exclusively to the new Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases. As of June 30, 2021, Groupe Devimco and its partners have already raised more than $385,000, which has been donated to the Foundation.
–The partners of the Maestria Condominiums project donate $100,000 for the well-being of children
On June 17, 2019, Devimco Immobilier, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fiera Immobilier, partners of the Maestria real estate project located in Quartier des spectacles, made two donations totalling $100,000 to The Lighthouse Children and Families and to the Fondation du Centre jeunesse de Montréal. These donations will allow children in pediatric palliative care to receive art education from artist Bernard Séguin Poirier.
–$300,000 donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation
On February 7, 2019, Devimco Immobilier, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fiera Immobilier, partners in the Square Children’s real estate project, announced a donation of $300,000 to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. This donation will support research activities as well as highly specialized care provided by this internationally renowned pediatric centre.
–Artist René Derouin will create a 21-storey work of art in Griffintown
This work of art, intended to be a legacy to the city and the Griffintown district, will be integrated into the MaryRobert Condominiums project. Devimco Immobilier launched a contest that brought together Montreal artists and announced the winner on May 31, 2018, in the presence of its partner, the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, and the Southwest borough mayor. René Derouin is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist who has been honoured with the Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas and the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec, as well as being named Artist for Peace in 2017.
