What questions should I ask when searching for a rental condo?

It is important to ask about the building’s year of construction. A recent building will not require work for a long time, which is an undeniable advantage. Inquiring about the building’s soundproofing is also crucial. For example, at Nobel Apartments each unit is thoroughly soundproofed to ensure a quiet environment and quality sleep. Can anyone rent a unit at Nobel Apartments? What information am I required to provide?

There are a few prerequisites to access the project. At the beginning of the application process, you will be required to provide a valid piece of identification which we will authenticate in person. You must also provide proof of income, ideally your last two pay stubs. We will then perform a credit check to verify your history as well as your financial capacity. Finally, there will be a criminal background check. This process aims to ensure that you will be able to pay rent and to guarantee the safety of all our tenants.

Following the verification, what are the steps before officially becoming a tenant?

Once you have selected your unit and are ready to sign the lease, we’ll take you on a tour of the actual apartment you have chosen. We’ll then complete the rental record with the documents previously submitted and have you sign the lease. In case an endorser is required, they will need to take part in signing the lease. Once your record is complete and approved, we will send you a welcome letter and schedule a meeting to give you the keys and plan your move-in.  

While this whole process may seem complex, it is actually quite simple and can be completed quickly. To give you an idea, the period between the first visit to the rental office and the key handover generally varies between 1 week and 3 months, depending on the needs of each tenant, and we always do everything in our power to ensure our clients can move in when they wish to.

Do you perform an inspection before new tenants move in? 

The project’s management team always thoroughly inspects newly leased units. Furthermore, we refurbish before the tenant takes possession of the apartment. This way, we ensure that they feel comfortable in their new home as soon as they move in.  

What should I check in the apartment when moving in?

It is very important to make sure that all appliances in the apartment work properly and have no apparent breakage. The refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer all need to be checked with a fine-tooth comb upon arrival. You should also inspect the entire apartment for defects, and if you find any, take pictures and send them to the administration so that the situation can be corrected as soon as possible.
